Specialized's Diverge A1 is a fully capable street, dirt road, gravel path, anywhere-you-want-to-ride exploration machine. Specialized A1 aluminum makes for a light, fast frame, while up front, a FACT carbon fork soaks up the road chatter. Wherever you roll, on hills, flats, and descents it has the quick-shifting, wide-range performance of Shimano's 16-speed Claris drivetrain with easy to use integrated shifters. A pair of mechanical disc brakes put the stops to the fun when needed and a full selection of Specialized components, including a supportive Body Geometry saddle, checks the final boxes on this fully capable bike.

I used to have a carbon fiber/competitive road bike. Sold it based on a move and new family. I got this bike as a starter in a area of the country with a lot of hilly terrain and inclimate weather. I also use it for a part time commute. A good bike for the time being, but once I go more hardcore about road biking I'll probably upgrade to a Roubaix.
Recently bought this bike at the spring sale, and couldn't be happier with it. Glad I decided to get it.
